Life In Israel and the Netherlands
Zyon Ayni is both a citizen of Israel and the Netherlands. Though he was born in Israel, his life between Israel and the Netherlands started at age 6 when he followed his family for the first time to the Netherlands. Over the next five years, Zyon continued to return to the Netherlands until 13, when he finally decided to leave his studies in Israel and permanently move to the Netherlands.
His decision to relocate to the Netherlands is to participate in the family businesses. And over the years of his involvement in different businesses, Zyon Ayni learned about business creation, management, and leadership. As a young boy, he was responsible for calculating incomes with pen and paper.
And at 32, it wasn’t surprising that he had founded the third-largest restaurant and leisure business empire in Amsterdam, where he employed hundreds of people and created a source of livelihood for dozens of families.
The Moment that changed Zyon Ayni
It was only meant to be a routine check to the dentist in Israel in 2010, but it became a life-changing experience for Zyon. While he waited for his appointment, he read an article in a magazine about some scientists and their discoveries.
In the article, scientists from the Hebrew University of Israel just found a mechanism that led to the destruction of cells infected with HIV. It was also emphasized that the Hebrew University was also looking for an investor who could help them turn their scientific discovery into actual medicine.
This particular article caught Zyon Ayni’s attention, reigniting his passion for business and a golden opportunity to change the world for the better. Though many people tried to dissuade him from pursuing the discovery, saying it was an impossible fantasy, Zyon never gave in. He eventually invested his capital.
In 2014, Ayni founded Code Pharma after getting many rejections from banks and individuals who claimed that the project was an impossible task that would fail even before it started.
Eventually, Zyon launched the project in collaboration with Professor Abraham Loyter of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Zyon’s Other Life Activities
Zyon Ayni is also a philanthropist outside the business sphere who has extended his humanitarian services across regions in Africa. He helps and assists the less able and orphaned children by paying their tuition fees and accommodation.
He is also a professional fighter who has maintained his passion and skills for Muay Thai (Thai boxing) over the years.
